Real Solutions for Real Kansans

“Too many Kansans are still struggling to get by. And the politicians in Washington, DC, are making it worse. I’m running for Governor because we need Real Solutions for Real Kansans. I promise to always stand up against the special interests who are hurting our families, and to fight for our kids, our seniors, our veterans, and our farmers. I hope you’ll join me. Thank you.”

Cindy’s priorities:

  • Protecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid

  • Investing in public education

  • Providing tax relief for working and middle class Kansans, not billionaires

  • Fighting to ensure Kansas families can afford to live and work here

  • Lowering the cost of healthcare, housing and childcare

  • Standing up for children, seniors, veterans and our farmers

Meet Cindy

Raised on a farm, Cindy was brought up with common sense, Midwest values and a love of her country.  Her father is a Marine veteran and a union member who worked in construction for over 37 years. Her mother was a janitor at the grade school Cindy attended. The granddaughter of tenant farmers, Cindy is a first generation college graduate.

Cindy and her husband Greg have lived in Kansas for over 25 years. Their three children are all recent graduates of the state’s outstanding public schools. She was elected to the State House of Representatives in 2016, where she co-founded the Women’s Bipartisan Caucus.  She helped end the failed economic disaster of the Brownback experiment.  In 2020, she was elected to the State Senate, preventing the return of an extremist legislator. She presently is the only Democrat serving in a Republican-leaning State Senate district. Throughout her time in the legislature, Cindy has worked to fully fund our public schools, strengthen our economy, rebuild our roads and bridges, and ensure Kansans’ access to affordable healthcare.  Her efforts helped bring down costs for all Kansans by ending the sales tax on food, eliminating the tax on Social Security, and implementing child care tax credits.
